marbled; from canvas to clothing

In a woman‘s ready-to-wear collection evolving under the concept 'marbled, from canvas to clothing' fashion and art is put in one context by transferring the series of paintings to a clothing line.

As a passionate Artist, who chose Fashion Design as personal vocation it was sure to fuse clothing and art one day.  With the marbled series as main inspiration, a colourful, experimental and playful vibe is given to the collection. Merged together with the elegance and calmness of classic men‘s tailoring as stylistic formulation. 'Haute Streetwear' as subject matter draws attention to a wearable character given the significance by eye catching prints and ingenious details. Noble pieces are combined to embody a cool and reduced optic. The involvement of the suit as tribute to classic men‘s tailoring can be felt throughout the whole collection.

To transfer the paintings to pieces of garments i worked with digital prints of existing paintings, also a marbled print was developed that can be found silkscreen printed on leather or foil printed on transparent fabric. Puff print in different colours directly applied on the fabric and merged together has a inspiring optic and a one of a kind haptic.
